The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, will close the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 registration today, June 3. Interested and eligible candidates can fill out the NEST 2024 application form by visiting the official website, nextexam.in. The NEST 2024 admit card will be issued on June 15.

The NEST 2024 exam is designed to evaluate students' understanding of physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology. The NEST 2024 exam offers a total of 257 seats, with 200 for NISER and 57 for UMDAE CEBS.

The NEST 2024 exam is scheduled for June 30. It will be conducted in two shifts: from 9 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 pm to 6 pm. The NEST 2024 result will be announced on July 10.

NEST 2024 Application Fee

Candidates must pay the NEST 2024 application fee to complete the registration process. The fee for General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) is Rs 1,400. Candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Person with Disability (PwD), and women candidates need to pay Rs 700 as the application fee.

NEST 2024 Exam Pattern

The NEST 2024 exam will be held online in computer-based mode. The exam duration is 3 hours and 30 minutes. The NEST 2024 carries a total of 200 marks. The paper will consist of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Multiple Selection Questions (MSQs). There will be 68 questions in total. Candidates will receive 2.5 marks for each correct MCQ answer and 4 marks for each correct MSQ answer. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for incorrect answers.
