Following the confirmation on Friday of Pakistan's group-stage exit from the T20 World Cup 2024, former England batter Michael Vaughan has questioned the country's white-ball capabilities. After the two players' lackluster performances, Vaughan also questioned the depth of skill in both captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper Muhammad Rizwan.

Pakistan needed Ireland to defeat the United States in order to survive in the Super 8 chase. But the Florida tie washed away by the continuous rain, and the US advanced to their first-ever Super 8 alongside India from Group A. Pakistan eventually paid a heavy price for losing to the United States in the Super Overs and to India by a nerve-wracking six runs earlier in the competition.
