Shweta Tiwari Criticizes Unrealistic TV Shows: "I Would Never Do Them – People Hanging from Kites!"
Shweta Tiwari remarked that many TV shows today seem to follow a "anything goes" approach, resulting in content that feels far from realistic.
Shweta Tiwari, a prominent television star best known for her lead role in the popular TV show "Kasautii Zindagi Kay," recently discussed the unrealistic standards of current TV shows in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. She criticized the exaggerated plots where anything seems possible, such as people falling from kites or surviving snake bites. What Shweta Said
During the conversation, Shweta remarked, "The content was better back then. Nowadays, it feels like anything goes. You see scenes with people getting locked in safes, which just don't feel real. Even in the past, we had storylines involving large sums of money, like characters discussing crores of rupees. While that wasn't entirely realistic either, viewers could still relate to the idea of wealthy individuals existing. Now, we have characters surviving snake bites without any consequences, or people hanging from kites! I even saw a scene where a girl spins and falls on a curtain, only for it to somehow wrap around her neck."
'The Shows I Did Never Had These Unrealistic Sequences'
Shweta continued by stating that she would definitely refuse to participate in such scenes, saying, "I would simply ask, 'What's happening here? I can't do this.' The shows I worked on never had these unrealistic sequences. The costumes, scripts, and dialogues I see today – I did all that 20 years ago! Even people's hot presses have changed."
Shweta Tiwari, who portrayed Prerna in "Kasautii Zindagi Kayy," made history as the first female winner of Bigg Boss by winning its fourth season. She also appeared in several reality shows, including "Nach Baliye," "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa," and "Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi."
Recently, Shweta was seen in the cop action drama "Indian Police Force," starring alongside Sidharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi, and Shilpa Shetty. This series marks the director's digital directorial debut.
