Vikram Talks About His Leg Injury: "I Had To Have 23 Surgeries And Was In The Hospital For Three Years"

New Delhi: With Thangalaan, Vikram is prepared to light up the silver screens. The movie will be available on August 15, Independence Day. Malavika Mohanan and Parvathy Thiruvothu are also in the action drama, which is directed by Pa Ranjith. The audio launch party for Thangalaan was arranged by the makers on Monday. Additionally, the cast and crew made a point of leaving Bengaluru with a wonderful evening. In addition, actor Vikram spoke to the assembly and related a few stories from the filming days. Early in his career, the actor disclosed that he had suffered a severe injury to his leg. My leg was fractured in an accident, and the doctors told me I would never be able to walk again. I had to have 23 procedures while I was in the hospital for three years, but out of passion and self-confidence, I bounced back,” he said. A video of the launch event was shared by the makers on YouTube.

At the ceremony, Pa Ranjith, the director of Thangalaan, also talked about his collaboration with Vikram. Pa Ranjith thanked the actor for his hard work and devotion, mentioning that even though Vikram had broken a rib during an action scene, the actor still chose to complete the filming.

Parvathy Thiruvothu was likewise plenty of positive things to say about Vikram, her co-star. "I have always wanted to work with Chiyaan Vikram garu," she remarked. He is the best co-actor I have ever worked with, and I can say that with complete confidence and satisfaction in my heart. You are carried by him the entire movie. He is giving. Not just with you, but with all of his coworkers as well. Hopefully, I can be like you someday.”

Neelam Productions, Jio Studios, and Studio Green all support Thangalaan together. The movie is billed as being based on real-life incidents involving the lives of mine workers in Karnataka's Kolar Gold Fields.
