According to IMD, the high and low temperatures will probably stay in the range of 43°C and 29°C, respectively.
In the meantime, IMD stated in a post on X that on June 8–10, 2024, there is a chance of heatwaves to severe heatwave conditions in a few areas of Uttar Pradesh and isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana–Chandigarh–Delhi, East Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha.

Previously, the Center emphasized that states must assure no loss of life and be better equipped to handle threats from heat waves and forest fires of life, and minimise damage.
