This week will see rain in Delhi as the southwest monsoon moves into Gujarat and Maharashtra.
Delhi is now expected to experience drizzle to moderate rain until June 29. This will result in a rainy month-ending. According to IMD, there is still a good chance that the monsoon may extend into other areas of Gujarat and the nearby north Arabian Sea during the following three to four days.

Up till June 29, Delhi is likely to get drizzle to light showers.

Delhi is expected to have drizzle to moderate rain until June 29. This will make for a damp conclusion to the month after the city battled days of dangerous heatwaves.
People who have been suffering from a heatwave for the previous two months were given some relief on Sunday afternoon when a new round of rain fell in several areas of the nation's capital.
The meteorological service said, "Generally cloudy sky, thunderstorms with very light rain accompanied by gusty winds in Delhi."
It further stated that the expected maximum and minimum temperatures will be in the range of 40 and 30 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The weather agency had earlier stated that the monsoon will arrive in Delhi-NCR on June 30.
After stagnating for a few days, the southwest monsoon made headway into Gujarat on Sunday. It had begun early on June 11 in several areas of south Gujarat.
According to the IMD's projection, there are still favorable conditions for the monsoon to spread across a portion of Gujarat and the nearby north Arabian Sea during the next three to four days.
"The southwest monsoon has advanced into some more parts of Arabian Sea, Gujarat state; remaining parts of Maharashtra; some more parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh; remaining parts of Odisha and some parts of Jharkhand," the Indian Meteorological Department stated in its weather advisory.
Usually, on June 15, the southwest monsoon arrives in Gujarat a nd progresses to Ahmedabad and other parts of the state, including some areas of Saurashtra, by June 20. It covers most parts of Saurashtra by June 25 and the entire state by June 30, said officials.
