Amul wants to increase its product line in the US market.
According to Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMFL), milk has emerged as the most important crop in India's agriculture sector, and in the next ten years, the nation will produce one-third of the world's milk.
A senior official stated on Friday that the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, which sells dairy products under the Amul brand and recently introduced fresh milk in partnership with the Michigan Milk Producers Association, is seeking to broaden its product line in the US market.
"In the US and other international markets, there is a significant demand for fresh items. According to Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMFL), "We would be expanding with other products like dahi, lassi buttermilk, cream, and paneer soon."
Mehta, who was the chief guest at the 116th Annual General Meeting of the trade association Indian Merchants' Chamber (IMC), stated that milk has emerged as the most important crop in India and that in the next ten years, the nation will produce one-third of the world's milk.
