IITs launch courses on AI, mutual funds, and EV basics.

In an effort to better serve industry needs and develop students' skill sets, several IITs launched new and developing undergraduate and graduate programs in 2024. Examples of these programs include Robotics at IIT Delhi, Data Science at IIT Kanpur, and Electric Transportation at IIT Mandi. These programs demonstrate a dedication to provide cutting-edge instruction in subjects including advanced engineering technologies, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

IITs launch courses on AI, mutual funds, and EV basics.

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) offer short certification programs, postgraduate courses, and undergraduate courses that are considered emerging every year. These courses cover a variety of topics, including artificial intelligence, premier banking, and risk management.

See the list of these recently launched programs from IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, and other IITs.

Madras Institute of Technology

IIT Madras has launched a range of courses to improve students' skill sets in cutting-edge disciplines, just like it did last year. Artificial Intelligence, Applied Data Science, Backend Development (Java Spring Boot), Cyber Security Analyst, and Android Application Development with Kotlin and Flutter are among the courses that were announced on March 15, 2024.

These programs, which have distinct qualifying requirements for each course, are available through the SWAYAM Plus platform and are designed to satisfy the industry's increasing need for specialized knowledge.

Apart from these courses, professionals and students looking to expand their knowledge can enroll in certificate programmes offered by IIT Madras. These courses include: Digital Banking (three months), Securities Operations and Risk Management (three months), Mutual Fund (three months), Banking and Finance (six months), and Fundamentals of EVs and Charging Infrastructure (five months). A qualifying bachelor's degree or related job experience is usually required for these courses, which offer beneficial certifications for career growth.

Delhi's IIT

The two-year MTech in Robotics degree at IIT Delhi is intended for engineering graduates with a valid GATE score. The goal of this course is to prepare students for careers in automation and intelligent systems by emphasizing sophisticated robotics technology. Through the IIT Delhi admissions webpage, prospective candidates can submit an application.

The MSc in Biological Sciences, a two-year program designed to give broad knowledge and research abilities in biological sciences, is another addition. Possession of a relevant bachelor's degree with a minimum percentage is required for enrollment in this course.

Kanpur's IIT

For BE or BTech graduates with a valid GATE score, IIT Kanpur has launched an MTech in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Engineering, a two-year degree. The design, development, and deployment of UAS technologies are covered in this course, giving students cutting-edge knowledge and abilities in this cutting-edge industry.

Additionally, the institute provides a three-month certificate program in Full Stack Development—MERN Stack—for students and graduates that focuses on web development with the MERN stack.

In addition, graduates of various engineering and science programs with a good GATE score are eligible to apply for the two-year MTech in Cognitive Systems program, which explores cognitive science and AI applications.

Another two-year program, the MTech in Data Science, requires a suitable bachelor's degree and focuses on big data technologies, machine learning, and data analytics.

Kharagpur's IIT

The two-year MTech in Artificial Intelligence degree at IIT Kharagpur provides advanced instruction in AI technologies to graduates with a qualifying GATE score. The institution also provides a three-month certificate program on hands-on Artificial Intelligence for Real-World Applications, which is designed to give current students or those with bachelor's degrees real AI capabilities.

New programs in Engineering Physics, Space Science and Engineering, and Mathematics and Computing have been added to IIT Gandhinagar's curriculum. In order to create solutions for high-tech companies, physics and engineering are combined in the Engineering Physics curriculum. In order to prepare students for positions in space research organizations, the Space Science and Engineering program focuses on astrophysics, planetary science, and space exploration technologies. The curriculum in Mathematics and Computing integrates computer science and mathematics, focusing on algorithms, data analysis, The IITs' dedication to offering cutting-edge instruction and giving students the tools they need to succeed in the workplace is reflected in these new courses and programs. Prospective students should visit the official websites of the individual IITs for more thorough information.
