Overview

The CFA Institute has introduced a new private equity certificate programme for investment professionals. This programme is tailored for those with one to three years of experience in private equity, as well as individuals aspiring to enter the field.

Target Audience

This certificate is designed to meet the learning needs of interns, analysts, and associates at private equity firms or investment banks, as well as those pursuing relevant degrees. It is also suitable for small and mid-sized private equity firms seeking training content for new employees.

Programme Features

Students will have the opportunity to engage with a financial modelling trainer through an open forum. Expert trainers will provide assistance, clarification, guidance, and feedback on any questions related to the financial modelling certificate content. Monthly, one-hour live sessions will start in September, accommodating different time zones.

Courses

This intermediate-level, self-paced programme includes five courses. It focuses on practical skills, especially in modelling, to develop the abilities expected of an analyst or associate in a private equity firm. The five courses are:

1. Private Markets Essentials
2. Private Equity
3. Private Debt for Private Equity Practitioners
4. Intermediate Financial Modeling
5. General Partner Perspectives

Final Assessment

Upon completing the courses, learners will be eligible to take a 60-question final assessment. This online assessment will consist of multiple-choice questions.
