The district government has decided to cancel school today, July 25, in Pune city, Pimpri Chinchwad, and the western portions of the district due to the heavy downpours that have been falling in various areas of the district and the Weather Department's prediction of heavier showers.According to data released by the district administration, Lonavla received 300 mm of rain, Lavasa 417 mm, and Junnar 214 mm in the last 24 hours that ended at 7:30 am.District Collector Suhas Diwase issued an order declaring holidays for all primary and secondary schools in Pune, Pimri Chinchwad, Maval, Mulshi, Bhor Velha, Khed, Ambegaon, and Junnar Haveli.
