RBI reports that the current account balance showed a 0.6% GDP surplus in Q4 of FY24.
During Q4 of FY2023, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) reported that the current account deficit (CAD) was $1.3 billion, or 0.2% of GDP. The CAD was $8.7 billion, or 1% of GDP, in Q3 of FY24.
Due to a smaller merchandise trade deficit, the nation's current account balance saw a surplus of $5.7 billion, or 0.6% of GDP, in the January–March 2024 quarter.
