Hyderabad: On Thursday, BRS working president and former MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao exposed the city's widespread waste heaps and criticized the Congress government for its disregard.
Rama Rao asserted in a post on X that approximately 1,000 Swachh Autos, assigned to collect trash from homes door to door, are not carrying out their assigned responsibilities.
"The part-time municipal minister in charge of this is too busy buying MLA and touring Delhi. It is time for the government to get up from its slumber. The city needs to be maintained tidy. The health of the people should be safeguarded," he stated.
In addition, he claimed that people are afflicted with seasonal illnesses including dengue, malaria, and diarrhea and that mosquitoes are proliferating as a result of the buildup of trash in slums and colonies.
He claimed that rubbish disposal only seemed to be done on paper and attributed Hyderabad's poor sanitation management to the mayor and other authorities' lack of unexpected visits.
