Bengaluru: The Congress's state unit chief, D K Shivakumar, described the results of the Karnataka Lok Sabha election as a "warning bell" to the party, and stated that the party is already conducting fact-finding to determine the causes of the subpar performance.

Along with being the Deputy Chief Minister, he emphasized the need to examine what went wrong and make the necessary corrections while urging party members to refrain from criticizing others in front of the media for the party's poor performance.

In Karnataka, the BJP won 17 and the JD(S) two Lok Sabha seats, leaving the NDA with 19 seats. Nine seats were gained by the ruling Congress, which placed a great deal of faith in the assurance programs that its government had started and anticipated would bring in large political rewards.

"They informed us when Rahul Gandhi and the General Secretary of the AICC visited Bengaluru. We're holding meetings and having conversations. We have scheduled a meeting for today to talk about Bengaluru City. We will set dates for other locations as well. We must look into everything and assess where we made mistakes and what transpired," Shivakumar said reporters in this location.

"I have asked party men not to speak to the media," he continued. Let's investigate the whereabouts of the incidents and come up with some answers."
