PM Narendra Modi is in Kanniyakumari, Tamil Nadu, meditating at Vivekananda Rock Memorial until June 1.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrapped up the Bharatiya Janata Party's election campaign on May 30 and is now on a two-day trip to Tamil Nadu. PM Modi started his meditation retreat in Kanniyakumari at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial on Thursday.

PM Modi began meditating at the Dhyan Mandapam, where philosopher Swami Vivekananda once meditated. The prime minister will leave Tamil Nadu on June 1, coinciding with the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha election 2024.

Photos of PM Modi's meditation session at the Vivekananda Rock became viral on social media shortly after being shared. Prior to visiting the memorial, the Prime Minister offered prayers at the Bhagavathy Amman Temple in Kanyakumari.

The Vivekananda Rock Memorial is situated off the coast of Kanniyakumari, known as the southern tip of India. This rocky islet can be reached by a short ferry ride.

Moreover, this location marks the convergence of India's Eastern and Western coastlines and serves as the meeting point of the Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal, and Arabian Sea. PM Modi's visit to Kanyakumari sends a message of national unity.

PM Modi concluded his Lok Sabha election campaign for 2024 on May 30 in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, which is scheduled for the final phase of voting on June 1.

The prime minister's home constituency, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, will also vote in the last phase of its election. The rival party, Indian National Congress (INC), has nominated party leader Ajay Rai to contest against PM Modi in the Varanasi seat.

PM Narendra Modi, a prominent campaigner for his party, conducted approximately 206 election campaign events, including rallies and roadshows, over 75 days. Additionally, he participated in approximately 80 interviews with various news and media outlets.

This is not the first time PM Modi has taken a spiritual retreat after an election campaign. In 2019, he visited Kedarnath, and in 2014, he visited Shivaji's Pratapgarh.
