Telangana government issues CEO appointment decrees from March to July.
In reality, the government had issued similar directives on March 15 of this year, but neither they nor the appointments were announced at the time—ostensibly due to the prevalence of the model code of behavior.
Hyderabad: The State government unexpectedly announced appointment orders for 34 various corporations in the State on Monday. These decisions had been kept under wraps for some time. The move was somewhat confusing.
In reality, the government had issued similar directives on March 15 of this year, but neither they nor the appointments were announced at the time—ostensibly due to the prevalence of the model code of behavior. Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari issued seven GOMs: 442, 443, 444, 445, 446, 447, and 448. It's interesting to note that during the Lok Sabha elections, a list of the prominent figures chosen to serve as chairpersons for various corporations was released in some media sections.
But aside from a select handful, few leaders received copies of the appointment orders, and the government did not make the appointments publicly known.
Thirteen chairpersons of the 34 corporations are from the Reddy community. The leaders were promised during the Lok Sabha elections that their assignments would be determined by how well they performed in their areas.
Recall that key politicians, including Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, the deputy chief minister, and chief minister A Revanth Reddy, visited New Delhi last week to negotiate the selection of a new PCC president, expanding the Cabinet, and filling nominated positions.
Since the official appointment of chairpersons to various corporations has occurred, the appointment process will now be the main focus.
