Top OTT releases: "Kakuda," "Maharaja," and Riteish's film.
The following five titles have drawn interest this week:
Delhi, New: The eerie comedy Kakuda, the action thriller Maharaja, and more films are scheduled to be streamed on over-the-top (OTT) platforms this week for you to binge watch.
"Flew Away into the Night"
Luca Infascelli, Patxi Amezcua, and Alejo Flah wrote the screenplay, which was directed by Renato De Maria and starred Annabelle Wallis, Riccardo Scamarcio, and Massimiliano Gallo.
Elena, an American psychotherapist, moved to Puglia, Italy, to live with Pietro, a guy with a troubled background. Their aim was to restore a Masseria farmhouse and turn it into a hotel. They were married and had two kids. But Pietro and Elena quickly split up since things didn't work out.
On July 11, the movie will be available on Netflix.
"Kakuda"
Riteish Deshmukh plays Victor, Sonakshi Sinha plays Indira, and Saqib Saleem plays Sunny in the eerie comedy "Kakuda." Aasif Khan plays the crucial part of Kilvish.
The film revolves around the cursed village of Ratodi and is an exhilarating and terrifying adventure. It has side-splitting humor mixed in with spine-tingling moments.
It was produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Aditya Sarpotdar. It will air on ZEE5 on July 12.
"Maharaja"
Nithilan Swaminathan is the director of the action thriller in Tamil. In addition to Anurag Kashyap, Sachana Namidass, Mamta Mohandas, Natarajan Subramaniam, Abhirami, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Manikandan, Singampuli, and Bharathiraja in important roles, the film stars Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role.
The barber in the film reports to the police that his "Lakshmi" has gone missing following a house invasion, but the authorities start to doubt his real motivations.
The film, which was produced by Think Studios, The Route, and Passion Studios, debuted in theaters on June 14, 2024. Netflix will start streaming it on July 12.
"Blowing Up Kittens"
Showrunners Shane Kosakowski and Matthew Inman (co-creator of the card game) are behind this animated comedy series, which is based on the popular card game. In addition, Elan Lee and The Oatmeal's Inman, executive producers and creators of the Exploding Kittens franchise, and Mike Judge, Greg Daniels, and Dustin Davis of Bandera Entertainment, as well as Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping from Chernin Entertainment Group, are executive producing the series.
God (Tom Ellis) is sacked and sent to Earth to mend human relations because Earth is a bad place. The drawback? He's imprisoned inside a plump house cat's body. He moves in with a dysfunctional family as part of his rehabilitation, and he tries to work through their issues, but he ends up chasing laser pointers all the time.
