Following an exciting IPL season, we have picked 11 players who make up Crickit's IPL XI for 2024. 

The 17th IPL season concluded on Sunday night, with the Kolkata Knight Riders winning their third title by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final.

Throughout the tournament, many outstanding performances stood out. The league stage was dominated by batters, but in the playoffs, bowlers took charge. No team managed to score more than 180 runs in the knockout stages.

1. Virat Kohli

Some doubted Kohli's T20 skills, but with 741 runs at an average of 61.75 and a strike rate of 154.7, he proved them wrong. His performance as an opener earned him his second Orange Cap and a spot to partner Rohit Sharma at the T20 World Cup.

2. Sunil Narine

Narine was crucial to KKR's third IPL title. He took 17 wickets and scored 488 runs, including his first T20 century and three fifties. His partnership with Phil Salt added over 500 runs.

3. Sanju Samson (Wicketkeeper)

Samson, the Rajasthan Royals captain, had his best IPL season with 531 runs at an average of 48.2 and a strike rate of 153.4. His performance has made him a strong contender for a place in India's T20 World Cup squad.

4. Rajat Patidar

Patidar emerged as Royal Challengers Bengaluru's second-best batter after Kohli, scoring 395 runs with five fifties and a strike rate of 173-plus. His support was crucial for RCB's comeback to qualify for the Playoffs.

5. Riyan Parag

Parag turned his season around with 532 runs at an average of 52 and a strike rate of 149.3. He hit 33 sixes and delivered nine 30-plus scores, making him RR's best middle-order batter.

6. Heinrich Klaasen

Klaasen, with 479 runs and four fifties at a strike rate of 171, was a powerhouse for Sunrisers Hyderabad. His dominance against spin and consistent six-hitting were highlights of his season.

7. Pat Cummins (Captain)

Cummins, with 18 wickets and crucial batting performances, was key for SRH. Though SRH didn't win the final, his leadership earned him the captaincy of our IPL XI.

8. Mitchell Starc

Starc, despite an inconsistent league stage, shone in the playoffs with crucial performances that secured his place in this line-up. His ability to swing the ball and take key wickets was vital.

9. Kuldeep Yadav

Yadav was a crucial bowler for Delhi Capitals, with an economy rate of 8.70. His performance against Rajasthan Royals was game-changing, helping his team secure important wins.

10. Jasprit Bumrah

Bumrah was Mumbai Indians' standout player, finishing with 20 wickets and the best economy rate of 6.48. His consistent performance was a bright spot in an otherwise poor season for the team.

11. Varun Chakravarthy

Chakravarthy peaked at the right time, taking 21 wickets for KKR. His performance in the latter half of the season was crucial, making him one of the top spinners of the tournament.
