Yuvraj Singh on Abhishek Sharma's T20I century: "Many more to come."
After failing to score in his first-ever international match on Saturday, Abhishek blasted a century off 46 balls in the second Twenty20 International against Zimbabwe.
Harare: After seeing his pupil Abhishek Sharma score his first T20I century in just his second international encounter, former India great all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was a happy man.
After failing to score any runs on his international debut on Saturday, Abhishek hammered a century off of 46 balls in the second Twenty20 International against Zimbabwe. Apart from Abhishek, Ruturaj Gaikwad struck a brilliant unbroken 77*, and Rinku Singh knocked 48 runs off of just 22 balls to lead India to 234/2 in 20 overs.
India easily defeated Zimbabwe for 134 runs in the first innings of the match. While Ravi Bishnoi claimed two wickets, Avesh Khan and Mukesh Kumar each claimed three.
Following the game, Player of the Match winner Abhishek Sharma video-called his family and Yuvraj. The seasoned cricket player praised him for the achievement and expressed satisfaction with his performance. Not only that, but there are still a ton of them to come; this is only the beginning.
"Excellent work, I'm really proud. You were worthy of it. "This is just the beginning, there will be many more," Yuvraj stated during their video chat with Abhishek.
After getting out on duck in the opening Twenty20 International, Abhishek disclosed that Yuvraj was pleased with his start.
