NEET row: SC instructs NTA to take severe measures to address any carelessness on your side...

The National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Center were instructed by the Supreme Court to investigate the NEET UG 2024 matter and to take harsh action if any carelessness was discovered on their behalf.

Judges SVN Bhatti and Vikram Nath, sitting on vacation, heard the case. A petition led by Amulya Vijay Pinapati, one of the candidates, was being heard by the court.

"Even if there is 0.01% of negligence on your part, it should be thoroughly dealt with," the Supreme Court declared in response to two more petitions that challenged differences in the NEET-UG 2024 exam results and asked for the exam's cancellation.

The court warned the Center and NTA not to disregard the effort students have put into studying for this exam, saying that someone who manipulates the system to get admittance to the (medical) program will be more harmful to society.

The court also instructed NTA to submit a statement by July 8 in response to another petition that Nitin Vijay filed contesting the grace mark award.

In the meantime, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced on Monday that if National Testing Agency (NTA) employees were discovered to have participated in anomalies in the administration of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), 2024, the government will take severe measures against them.
