NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT Delhi) will conduct the Joint Admission Test (JAM) 2025, the institute announced. IIT JAM 2025 will be held for admission to master's programs for the academic session 2025–26.

The exam is a computer-based test for seven papers: biotechnology, chemistry, economics, geology, mathematics, mathematical statistics, and physics.

Candidates who have completed or will be appearing in the final exam of their undergraduate degree are eligible for JAM 2025. There is no age limit for the test.

As per the exam pattern, JAM 2025 will last three hours. There will be 60 questions with 100 marks. The question paper will be divided into three sections: Section A, Section B, and Section C. Section A will have multiple-choice questions (MCQs), Section B will include multiple-select questions (MSQs), and Section C will consist of numerical answer type (NAT) questions.

Last year, the exam was held in two sessions: Session 1 from 9:30 to 12:30 pm and Session 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Through JAM 2025, students can get admission to various postgraduate programs such as MSc, MSc (Tech), MSc-MTech Dual Degree, MS (Research), Joint MSc-PhD, and MSc-PhD Dual Degree programs at the IITs, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), and National Institutes of Technology (NITs), IIEST Shibpur.
