According to Air India, "heavy rains are affecting flights to and from Mumbai." It is recommended that guests arrive at the airport early because waterlogging and delayed traffic may cause delays.
The India Meteorological Department issued a warning in the meantime, stating that for the next three to four hours, isolated locations in Mumbai's districts are extremely likely to see severe rainstorms. Its weather bulletin states that the city and its suburbs could expect moderate to heavy rain. In their nowcast warning on Friday, IMD also issued a yellow caution for the Thane and Raigad regions.
