To stay in jail for the CBI case, Arvind Kejriwal was given interim bail in the ED probe.

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court on Friday in connection with the Enforcement Directorate's money laundering investigation.  Kejriwal's petition challenging his arrest by the ED was referred to a larger bench by a bench of Justices Sanjv Khanna and Dipankar Datta. The bench noted that a larger bench should determine the legal scope of reading need and necessity to arrest as well as the doctrine of proportionality in ED cases where investigating officers have been given significant discretion to make arrests. The Supreme Court stated that Kejriwal will be released on temporary bail in accordance with the terms of the May order after posing three queries regarding the authority and practice of ED arrests.
