On May 28, a Supreme Court vacation bench led by Justices JK Maheshwari and KV Viswanathan acknowledged senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi's arguments for Delhi's chief minister. They suggested the Chief Justice of India could decide on the interim plea's listing, given the pending judgment in the main case.

Arvind Kejriwal has requested a seven-day extension to his interim bail to undergo various medical tests, including a PET-CT scan. These tests are aimed at diagnosing his sudden weight loss and elevated ketone levels, which may indicate kidney problems, severe heart conditions, or even cancer.

In a new plea filed on May 26, Arvind Kejriwal stated his intention to surrender to jail authorities on June 9 instead of the initially scheduled date of June 2.

On May 10, the Supreme Court granted the chief minister a 21-day interim bail for campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections. This bail was related to a money laundering case connected to the 'scam' involving the excise policy.

The court instructed Kejriwal to surrender on June 2, a day after the final phase of the seven-phase election concludes.

The case pertains to alleged corruption and money laundering in the formulation and implementation of Delhi government's now-defunct excise policy for 2021-22.
