Silver price surges ₹682, hits ₹81,225/kg on strong demand.
September silver futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange increased by Rs 682, or 0.85%, to Rs 81,225 per kg in 28,366 lots. The price increase was ascribed by analysts to fresh positions taken by participants in reaction to a favorable domestic trend.
Delhi, New: In futures trading on Monday, silver prices surged by Rs 682 to Rs 81,225 a kilogram as traders increased their bets on strong spot demand.
Silver futures for September delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange jumped by Rs 682, or 0.85%, to Rs 81,225 per kg in 28,366 lots.
According to analysts, participants' new positions based on a strong domestic trend were the primary cause of the increase in silver prices.
In New York, silver was trading 0.80% higher globally at USD 27.81 per ounce.
