Review of Satyabhama: Kajal Aggarwal's film is boring to watch
Review of Satyabhama: Satyabhama is a predictable movie that has elements from previous police dramas. It also has some surprising developments. It is slightly more intriguing, though, because Kajal Aggarwal is at its core.
With a female police officer at its center and a first-time director, it makes sense to anticipate Satyabhama to be an intensely captivating thriller. But despite a powerful performance by Kajal Aggarwal as ACP Satyabhama, director Suman Chikkala wasted the chance to turn this Telugu movie into a genuine police drama with a lot of punch.
The protagonist of the movie, ACP Satyabhama (Kajal), is a pivotal character who prioritizes her duties with great determination. She is so focused on rescuing Haseena, a young lady in an abusive relationship, that she is even running late for her own wedding to author Amar. Sadly, Satyabhama is haunted by her inability to stop Haseena's murder since she broke the pledge she made to Haseena and her.
