Prem Milind Gujrathi's Journey:

Prem Milind Gujrathi secured an all-India rank of 2,644 in the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) 2020 and is currently in his fourth year at IIT Kanpur's electrical engineering department.

Gujrathi, aged 22, took his Class 10 exam in 2018 and his Class 12 exam in 2020. Originally from Maharashtra's Shirpur, he completed his Class 10 in Shirpur and pursued his Class 12 in Indore. His attempt at JEE in 2020 was successful.

Gujrathi's interest in physics, chemistry, and mathematics led him to choose engineering after completing Class 12.

Preparation Strategy for JEE Advanced:

Gujrathi commenced his JEE Advanced preparation during Class 11. He enrolled in an offline classroom coaching programme at FIITJEE in Indore, which was integrated with his school curriculum.

He diligently followed the coaching materials, adhered to the exam pattern and syllabus, and made comprehensive notes for all subjects. Gujrathi also practiced numerous test papers to acclimate himself to the exam's timing constraints.

Approach to the JEE Advanced Question Paper:

During the JEE Advanced exam, Gujrathi tackled the question paper in the chronological order of chemistry, mathematics, and physics (CMP). This approach, which he had practiced during his preparation, facilitated a smooth transition between sections.

Pre-Exam Routine:

In the days leading up to the exam, Gujrathi focused on revising his notes and refrained from delving into new topics. He dedicated time to analyzing mock test results, maintained a consistent sleep schedule, and emphasized the importance of staying hydrated.

Recommendations for JEE Advanced Aspirants:

  • Remain calm and focused, as the exam may be challenging for everyone.
  • Limit studying to previously covered topics and prioritize revision.
  • Engage in practice tests and analyze mistakes to improve performance.
  • Maintain a healthy sleep routine and stay hydrated.
  • Approach the exam with confidence and composure.

Despite his enduring passion for physics, chemistry, and mathematics, Gujrathi plans to transition into a career in management, as his enthusiasm for electrical engineering has waned over time.
