CUET UG 2024: Concerns Arise Over Answer Key Access and Errors

Several candidates participating in the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate (CUET UG 2024) have voiced issues with accessing the answer keys, released on July 7. Some students have reported errors in the keys. Additionally, many are anxious about the delay in result declaration, which the National Testing Agency had initially set for June 30.

Today, July 9, marks the deadline for submitting representations regarding the CUET UG answer key. Following this, a panel of subject experts at the agency will review the submissions to finalize the answer key.

If a question asked in the exam is dropped or if multiple correct answers are identified, marks will be awarded to candidates according to the rules outlined in the test's information bulletin.

Speaking to X, Devraj Babbar highlighted that the objection window for the answer key will close today.

Deepanshu Bhardwaj shared a photo claiming inability to download the CUET UG answer key. When contacted, the NTA helpline for CUET UG advised candidates to email their queries with their application number for resolution, citing slow website performance due to heavy traffic.

Rakesh Dubey expressed frustration over NTA's delayed results and called for fixed dates for CUET, JIPMAT, etc., appealing for government intervention. Shradha highlighted the urgency of CUET scores for upcoming academic sessions.

Payal Singh Chandel raised concerns about receiving the CUET English question paper late at the Patna center and urged for fair treatment in case of re-exams. Notably, @ntaofficialinn, a non-official account, was mistakenly cited in interactions.

Others, like Rishabh, noted multiple errors in the CUET UG answer key, but hesitated to challenge due to high costs. Bishal Bhowmik claimed significant discrepancies in the Geography section, asserting the NTA's answer key misrepresentation affected their scoring.

The NTA, in its notification on the answer key release, assured addressing student concerns and readiness for re-tests if needed. Meanwhile, controversies surrounding other NTA exams, including UGC NET and NEET UG, have led to Supreme Court petitions for re-conducting the latter, prompted by alleged paper leaks acknowledged by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud.
