PM Modi at Kargil: "Pakistan Hasn't Learned Anything From History"

Kargil: In honoring the soldiers who lost their lives in the 1999 Kargil War, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that Pakistan has not learned from the tragedy and still provides sanctuary to terrorists.
"Pakistan has always been defeated when it has undertaken misadventures. At the Kargil War monument, Prime Minister Modi stated, "It has not taken any lessons from history." In honoring the Indian soldiers who lost their lives in the conflict, Prime Minister Modi declared that Kargil Vijay Diwas will always serve as a reminder of their unwavering devotion for the country. The Indian Army declared victory on July 26, 1999, marking the victorious conclusion of "Operation Vijay," following a nearly three-month-long struggle on the frozen heights of Kargil in Ladakh.

Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated on this day to honour India's military victory over Pakistan. In order to build a tunnel that will connect Himachal Pradesh and the Union Territory of Ladakh with all-weather connection, PM Modi conducted the "first blast" earlier today. Launching the "first blast" from the Drass in Ladakh, the Prime Minister signaled the beginning of the building of the Shinkun La tunnel.
