In her first address to the joint sitting of Parliament following the formation of the 18th Lok Sabha, the President stated that the budget that the government will deliver in the upcoming session will be a document of its futuristic vision.
"Many historic measures will be taken, and the budget will contain important economic and social decisions. "We will accelerate reforms to meet public expectations," she declared.
She stated that her government thinks states should compete fairly for investments. She continued, "This is in the spirit of cooperative-competitive federalism."
Murmu went on, "India's economy has grown to be the fifth largest in the world. Despite the fact that these were not typical times, there has been an average rise of 8% over the past ten years.
Notwithstanding a worldwide pandemic and hostilities in many regions of the world, this development rate has been attained. This is the outcome of the past ten years' reforms. Just India contributes 15% of the world's total.
