Medak: Two temple hundis at Edupayala are taken by thieves
The houndis were gone from the temple when the priests and employees arrived in the morning.
Medak: Early on Saturday morning, a few unidentified miscreants stole money from the temple offering box (hundi) at the Sri Vanadurga Bhavani Temple in the Edupayala district of Medak. The miscreants can be seen on CCTV entering the temple grounds, removing two hundis, and carrying them to the old Kalyana Katta, where they cracked them open and fled with the money and other valuables that the worshippers had given them.
The houndis were gone from the temple when the priests and employees arrived in the morning. The Papannapet police responded to a complaint, went to the location, and located the elderly hounds in the former Kalyana Katta. A case was opened. The burglars are being pursued.
