"ISRO Scientist Discloses Salary, Key Perks, and More Insights from Space Agency"

An ISRO scientist has revealed the starting salary for new recruits at the space agency, along with highlighting what he views as the top perk of the job. This short interview with the unnamed scientist is now gaining significant attention on Instagram.

The video, posted on Instagram by Broke Brothers, showcases their distinctive street interview style where they engage people on the streets of Bengaluru, inviting them to share their thoughts on camera. Broke Brothers frequently uploads these interactions to their Instagram and YouTube channels, emphasizing topics related to finance such as salaries, jobs, and savings.

In their most recent video, Broke Brothers conducted an interview with a scientist from ISRO, the Indian space agency headquartered in Bengaluru.

When queried about the starting salary for new recruits at ISRO, he disclosed, "The entry-level salary is around ₹1 lakh per month." Elaborating further, he added, "The CTC can be estimated to be approximately ₹15 lakhs."

Since its upload two days ago, the video has amassed over half a million views on Instagram, eliciting a range of reactions from viewers.

"Imagine being a space scientist and struggling financially abroad. It's time sectors like these start offering better pay. ₹1 lakh is hardly sufficient," remarked one Instagram user.

Contrarily, another user asserted that entry-level scientists at ISRO actually earn less than ₹1 lakh. "The real entry-level salary for an ISRO scientist is ₹55,000 plus allowances. This claim is simply inaccurate," they commented.

"ISRO's chairman earns ₹2.5 lakh per month, so the suggestion that entry-level scientists start at ₹1 lakh is quite surprising," observed a third commentator.
