India residents can now download Google's Gemini app on Android smartphones.

Delhi, New: Google announced on Tuesday that Android smartphone users in India may now download the Gemini AI assistant app, which supports Hindi, English, and eight additional Indian languages.
In the next weeks, the Google app will provide iPhone users with access to Gemini, as stated in a blog post by Amar Subramanya, Vice President, Engineering, Gemini Experiences.
"Your Google AI assistant, Gemini, has had a thrilling first year in India. India is embracing Gemini's potential to improve their everyday learning, creativity, and productivity, from developers to students and many other inquisitive minds,” Subramanya wrote.
Furthermore, the latest next-generation AI (Artificial Intelligence) model from Google, Gemini 1.5 Pro, will now have features available to Gemini Advanced customers in India.
Users will be able to upload numerous huge documents and emails for speedy summaries, comments, and actionable insights thanks to Gemini Advanced's improved capability.
"Privacy is our first priority, as always. Your files are kept confidential by Gemini, and our models are not trained on them, Subramanya continued.
