Legendary Wrestler Kevin Sullivan Passes Away at 74 Months Following "Devastating Accident"

At the age of 74, professional wrestler Kevin Sullivan, best known for his character as the Taskmaster, passed away on Friday. Sullivan had a significant effect on World Championship Wrestling (WCW) behind the scenes.
The cause of death has not yet been determined with certainty. But on May 12, Sullivan was involved in an accident in Florida that left him critically ill. Due to complications from sepsis and encephalitis, he was described as being in serious condition and had been admitted for emergency surgery.

In honor of Sullivan's legacy, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) issued a statement on Monday. His legendary feuds with Hulk Hogan and Dusty Rhodes, two legendary wrestlers from the 1990s, are what kept him alive.

"The news of Kevin Sullivan's passing at the age of 74 saddens WWE. With his predilection for bizarre concepts that stretched artistic boundaries, Sullivan—a singular and significant personality in the history of sports entertainment—found success both in the ring and behind the scenes, according to the statement.

"Sullivan was a formidable foe against the most illustrious heroes in the ring, like as Dusty Rhodes, Hulk Hogan, and The Road Warriors. His nefarious Army of Darkness, college bullies The Varsity Club, and the crazed Dungeon of Doom, which brought Big Show to the world of wrestling, were just a few of the hazardous factions he was skilled at managing. The former "Taskmaster" also developed into a WCW creative power behind the scenes.

"WWE extends its condolences to Sullivan's family, friends, and fans."
