Royal Family Hesitant to Reconcile with Prince Harry

Prince Harry appears ready to make peace. After a public falling out with the Royal Family and recent visits to the UK after a long break, experts believe the Duke of Sussex is willing to forgive and reconnect with his family. However, King Charles and Prince William seem reluctant to mend the rift. Harry’s recent visit to London for the Invictus Games and his inability to meet his sick father has sparked speculation about the future.

Prince Harry traveled over 5,000 miles to see his father after King Charles III was diagnosed with cancer. But he did not meet his estranged brother, William, during his brief visit of just 24 hours.

Prince Harry Ready to Forgive Royal Family

According to BBC's former royal correspondent Jennie Bond on Times Radio, Prince Harry initially demanded an apology. Bond explained that Harry felt strongly about receiving an apology for the alleged wrongs against his wife, Meghan Markle. "There would be no meeting until there was an apology for the affronts he believed were made to his wife," Bond said. Now, with Harry ready to heal the years-old rift, King Charles and William might not feel the same.

Royal Family Resisting Reconciliation with Harry

While the animosity between the brothers is well-known, insiders say William is against bringing Harry back, especially after the harsh comments in the Netflix documentary and "Spare." The relationship between King Charles and Harry remains hopeful. After the King was diagnosed with cancer, Harry flew to London to visit him.

Bond noted, "The tables have turned somewhat. Harry's messages suggest he's ready to forgive and loves his family. He's said this publicly. He wants to see more of them." She added, "But it is Charles and William who seem to be resisting reconciliation now."

Royals Unhappy with Harry's Nigerian Trip

The Duke and Meghan recently toured an African country for their Invictus milestone. The trip mirrored a royal tour, despite the couple no longer holding royal status. Many criticized them for using the royal name. Royal commentator Christopher Andersen told OK Magazine, "They have chosen to ignore Harry, to freeze him out, and to not let him affect them when they are facing many challenges," addressing the current health crisis of the UK royals.

"Right now, the royal family is united in acting as if Harry and Meghan don’t exist," he continued. "One hopes that won’t last forever, and that either William or the King will be brave enough to accept the olive branch Harry keeps extending."
