After the recently finished T20 World Cup, Australian batter David Warner announced his retirement on Instagram. However, he left open the possibility of playing for his country again in the Champions Trophy in 2025 if he was "selected."

For the first time since the 2024 T20 World Cup, which he had declared to be his final competition for Australia, Warner shared his thoughts on Instagram. The daring opener did, however, also acknowledge that another tournament is yet possible.
