AICC panel begins deliberations in Hyderabad post-elections.

Hyderabad: On Thursday, an AICC fact-finding committee, which was formed by the Congress leadership to determine the causes of the party's dismal showing in the most recent Lok Sabha elections, began holding talks with leaders, including those who had run as MPs and MLAs.

AICC formed a fact-finding committee including MLAs Pargat Singh and Rakibul Hussain representing Telangana, under the leadership of veteran leader PJ Kurien.

Only eight MP seats were won in the state, short of the 12–14 MPs that the Congress high command had anticipated. The AICC dispatched the three-person team to speak with leaders and provide a report in order to determine the causes of this performance.

The committee reached Gandhi Bhavan, the Congress's Telangana headquarters. On Thursday, a few leaders who had run for parliament from various constituencies, such as Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Malkajgiri, Mahabubnagar, and Chevella, were invited to give their accounts.

It has come to light that the committee heard the opinions of Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender, who left the BRS to run for the Lok Sabha seat in Secunderabad as a candidate.

"The committee is having a one-on-one conversation behind closed doors.
