Amaravati: In the Eluru district of Andhra Pradesh on Monday, a car carrying a family of three people crashed into a parked container truck, resulting in two fatalities and two injuries, according to police.
The truck was parked on the side of the road when the car collided with it on the highway near Laxminagar in Dwaraka Tirumala Mandal.
The mother and kid of the young techie woman were assassinated while she was on her way home from an interview with a Hyderabad-based software business.
Rachabattuni Bhagyashree, 26, was going back to Rajavolu in the East Godavari district with her family. Bomma Kamaladevi, 53, and her two-year-old son Rachabattuni Naga Nithin Kumar perished instantly as well.
Both driver Vamshi and the other son of Bhagyashree, Naga Shanmukh, were hurt and sent to a hospital in Eluru. Police opened an investigation after registering a case.
