Haryana's state elections are scheduled on October 1 and will be counted on October 4.

The Election Commission declared today that a single phase of voting to choose a new state administration for Haryana is scheduled for October 1. On October 4, the results of the Haryana assembly elections will be announced.
Over 2 crore voters would be served by a total of 20,629 polling places, comprising 7,132 urban and 13,497 rural locations, according to Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar. Additionally, booths will be erected in metropolitan regions of Gurugram, Sonepat, and Faridabad as well as multistory structures.

The Haryana assembly has 90 seats, with 17 seats for Scheduled Castes (SC) and 73 seats for General. Up to 10,321 voters who are 100 years old will participate in the democratic process.

On September 5, the elections notification will appear in the Gazette. The deadlines for nominations and scrutiny are September 12 and September 13, respectively, and September 16 for withdrawal of candidacies.  

"We are prepared to conduct accessible and inclusive elections," Mr. Kumar said.

The current assembly's tenure expires on November 3. Recently, election authorities paid a visit to Haryana to supervise the state's readiness for voting.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced the first bonus installment for more than 5.20 lakh farmers in the state, hours before the anticipated announcement. Given this year's rain shortage, a ₹ 2,000 per acre bonus for Kharif crops was announced. He also declared eight regions to have veterinary polyclinics. additionally  ₹ 3 lakh insurance cover for dairy farmers earning less than ₹ 3 lakh annually.

The dates for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, which will take place in three phases on September 18 and 25, as well as October 1, were also released by the Election Commission. On October 4, the votes will be tabulated.

Maharashtra is also scheduled to have elections this year, although the date has not yet been disclosed.
