James Middleton, brother of Kate Middleton, unveiled the cover of his long-awaited memoir titled "Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life." The 37-year-old shared the book's photo on Instagram with the caption, "Don’t judge a book by its cover… but in this case you CAN."
Cover Reveal at Goodwoofdogs Event
James chose to reveal the cover of his book at the @goodwoofdogs event happening this weekend (18/19 May). He expressed his excitement in the caption, inviting followers to join him at the Literary Corner on both Saturday and Sunday. He also mentioned the availability of tickets for the event.
Memoir Synopsis
The memoir delves into James’ relationship with Ella, a cocker spaniel he adopted at the age of 20. Ella passed away last year after being under James' care for 15 years.
James shares anecdotes about his life with Ella, highlighting how she played a pivotal role in introducing him to his now-wife, Alizee Thevenet. Despite facing delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic, James and Alizee eventually tied the knot in 2021 and welcomed their first child, Inigo, in 2023.
Expressing the significance of writing the memoir, James stated, "Writing this book has helped [me deal with the grief I have after Ella's passing] by enabling me to process the journey that Ella and I went on." He emphasized the importance of preserving Ella's memory for their family, especially for their son Inigo, who never had the chance to meet her. James aims to share with Inigo the story of how he met his mother through this book.
