Chandigarh University (CU) announced on May 24 that its undergraduate (UG) engineering programmes have been re-accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) under Tier 1 for the academic years 2024–25 to 2026–27.

CU: Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and 3 Other Engineering Programs Re-accredited by NBA

The re-accredited UG engineering programmes include mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, and computer science engineering.

An NBA expert team conducted an evaluation on the Chandigarh University campus on April 20 before granting this re-accreditation. The team assessed the standard of education, infrastructure, and learning resources at the university. They concluded that CU's engineering programmes meet global standards in providing technical education and enhancing employability for graduates, the university said.

Expressing his delight over the re-accreditation, CU vice-chancellor Manpreet Singh Manna said: "This re-accreditation is a testament to the hard work, commitment, and dedication of our faculty, staff, and students towards academic excellence and innovation. NBA accreditation is a hallmark of quality engineering education at Chandigarh University, a top institution in India."

"This re-accreditation underscores Chandigarh University's ongoing commitment to maintaining high educational standards and ensuring that its engineering graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of the global workforce. The recognition by the NBA affirms CU's position as a leading institution for engineering education in India," he added.
