Since the playoff spots were confirmed, fans and experts have been guessing the finalists. India legend Harbhajan Singh joined in, predicting KKR would face RCB in the final. He hoped for an intense Gautam Gambhir vs Virat Kohli clash.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said, "I think RCB and KKR will play the final. If that happens, Kohli and Gambhir will face each other again. RCB can win from here. They have fought hard for each run. If they keep this energy, they will be hard to stop."

Kohli and Gambhir have had many controversial encounters. In 2013, during an RCB vs. KKR match, Gambhir gave Kohli a send-off after his wicket, leading to a heated exchange. In IPL 2023, during an RCB vs. LSG match, Gambhir argued with Kohli after Kohli's spat with LSG pacer Naveen-ul-Haq. However, they have seemingly resolved their differences and were seen chatting and embracing this season.

Kohli is currently leading the IPL 2024 Orange Cap race with 708 runs in 14 matches, at a strike rate of 155.60. He has scored a century and five fifties, playing a crucial role in RCB's remarkable comeback this season.
