BJP gears up for Haryana election amid Congress revival

People have "accepted Saini and are liking his style of functioning," according to BJP's Haryana in-charge Satish Punia, about the party's decision to replace Khattar with Saini as chief minister ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

BJP gears up for Haryana election amid Congress revival

In anticipation of the Assembly elections in Haryana in less than three months, the ruling BJP has intensified its efforts to optimize party organization while preparing for a statewide campaign.

Both the main Opposition Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged victorious in the latest Lok Sabha elections, securing five seats each out of ten in the state. The BJP had taken all ten seats in 2019.

The BJP has devised a three-pronged plan to counter the Congress party's "fake narrative-based campaign" ahead of the 2018 Assembly elections. The BJP planned to build its ground-level cadre through training camps and teach its social media cell members through workshops in each district of Haryana as part of this strategy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will speak at a number of rallies around the state in the upcoming weeks in an effort to support the BJP's campaign.

"It's not that there was a wave in favor of Congress or that people voted for Congress in the Lok Sabha elections." We lost five seats due to either our own mistakes or the mistakes of the candidates we supported during the campaign. However, the results of the Lok Sabha poll indicate that we led by a wide margin in 44 Assembly segments.

We are still working to make our organization stronger. Assembly-wise, we are now training our booth-level employees, and we want to finish it in the upcoming two weeks. These employees would then be assigned to their appropriate locations. We are also holding meetings at the district, mandal, and assembly seat levels, which should be finished by the end of this month, according to Punia.

Punia commented on the party's campaigning, saying: "CM Saini has already started the campaign with a rally from Kurukshetra. We will now be organizing Jan Ashirwad rallies throughout the state of Haryana, with the chief minister (CM) at one end and the state party president (Mohan Lal Badoli) and other leaders at the other. These open forums would take place concurrently, allowing the whole

Despite having a lower vote percentage this time around (down from 58% in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections), the BJP has been in power in the state for two consecutive terms, which has given it a 10-year anti-incumbency. Punia, on the other hand, declared that the party campaign will be three-layered. Local party workers would make up the first tier, followed by party prabharis in the second and senior leaders from Delhi and other states in the third. To disprove the false narrative that the Congress created for the Lok Sabha polls, this would be implemented in all 90 Assembly seats.

Regarding the decision made by the BJP leadership to name OBC Saini as chief minister immediately before the Lok Sabha to succeed Punjabi leader Manohar Lal Khattar In each and every constituency, the BJP has already begun surveying prospective candidates. "We're going to finish these surveys soon. Public comments are also being accepted. Our ultimate goal is victory, and in the process of selecting the candidates, we will take into account social engineering, political, and strategic considerations in addition to caste and strategy, Punia continued.
