After Prashant Kishor, US Expert Predicts Massive BJP Victory in Lok Sabha Elections! In a surprising turn of events, a US expert has echoed Prashant Kishor's prediction of a massive victory for the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This forecast has generated a buzz in political circles, hinting at a significant shift in India's political landscape.
After Prashant Kishor, a US expert predicts a significant BJP victory in the Lok Sabha elections.
Earlier this week, Prashant Kishor stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's BJP is poised to return to power with either the "same or slightly better numbers".
Political expert Prashant Kishor has stirred controversy on social media with his recent prediction that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) could exceed its 2019 Lok Sabha elections tally of 303 seats due to the lack of significant dissatisfaction against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now, a prominent American political scientist, Ian Bremmer, has forecasted that the ruling party is likely to achieve its highest-ever seats tally.
Earlier this week, Prashant Kishor stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's BJP is set to return to power with either the "same or slightly better numbers". He emphasized that there is no "widespread public anger" against the prime minister or his party.
Asked about his prediction for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, Bremmer provided NDTV Profit with an optimistic outlook, stating that the party could win between 295 and 315 seats.
The Bharatiya Janata Party secured power with 282 seats in 2014, with the National Democratic Alliance winning a total of 336 seats.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP improved its tally, securing 303 seats. Overall, the NDA surpassed the 350-mark – becoming the only party to achieve this feat after the Congress.
The Congress-led INDIA bloc aims to challenge the BJP's support base in the Hindi heartland. Conversely, the BJP is eyeing the elusive '400' mark, aiming to maintain its stronghold in northern and western states while also securing more seats in southern states like Telangana, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.
The BJP is also optimistic about surpassing its 2019 figure of 18 seats in West Bengal.
"Modi is almost certainly going to secure a third term due to robust economic performance and consistent reforms, which sends a stabilizing message in the broader context," he stated to the channel.
He predicted that India will likely become the fourth-largest economy in the world next year, and the third-largest by 2028.
From a global political perspective, Bremmer remarked that the general election is the "only thing that appears stable and consistent".
"We are facing significant macro-level geopolitical uncertainty, and the trajectory of globalization is not aligning with the desires of companies. Politics is increasingly influencing the global marketplace, with issues such as wars, US-China relations, and the US election playing significant roles. However, these matters are not being managed effectively, and the resulting pressures are largely negative. In contrast, the only aspect that appears politically stable and consistent is the Indian election. Everything else seems to pose challenges," he explained to the channel.
