AAP hails Sisodia's release, blames detention on politics.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) celebrated the release of former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Friday, calling it the victory of truth and claiming that despite the fact that not a single rupee was found on him throughout the protracted probe, the central government had kept him behind bars out of political animosity.

"Not even a single rupee has been recovered from Sisodia despite that he was kept in jail for over 17 months. The process became the punishment. Knowingly under various pretexts, he was kept in jail...only due to political malice and grudge...and today that person got justice. The 17 months of Manish Sisodia were wasted," Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh expressed hope that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would also soon be granted bail in the same case.

Singh stated that everyone, even AAP employees, was thrilled with the Supreme Court's decision. "Everyone believed that our leaders had been falsely accused and imprisoned." Both Satyendar Jain and our chief, Arvind Kejriwal, remain incarcerated. I think they'll get justice soon enough and be released from prison shortly. Singh stated, "I think the Sisodia bail decision is a severe blow to the central government's rule.

Sisodia's release is granted many months ahead of Delhi's scheduled assembly elections in January and February. In the national elections held in Delhi in 2024, the AAP lost all four of the Lok Sabha seats it ran for. Delhi has been ruled by the AAP since 2015.

Singh stated that the AAP is greatly boosted by Sisodia's release in front of the Delhi assembly poll. "The people of Delhi and the Aam Aadmi Party are greatly relieved by this. Will the nation's prime minister provide an explanation for the 17 months that Manish Sisodia's life was wasted?

Chief of the Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party Virendra Sachdeva stated that the matter is still pending and does not imply an acquittal.
