Vishal Punjabi, also known as "The Wedding Filmer," remembers making customized wedding films for well-known couples like Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli and Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Only close friends and family attended both of the weddings, which took place in Italy. He claimed that because the newlyweds chose such remote and elite locations, they were completely isolated from the outside world. He further claimed that only 150 people attended the Deepika-Ranveer wedding and 40 attended the Anushka-Virat wedding.
When asked what he thought of current couples desiring "big weddings," Vishal responded, "You all saw the Ambani pre-wedding; it could get that big," during an appearance on Shivani Pau's podcast. Then there is the Deepika Padukone wedding, which is exquisite, a little, love marriage attended by only 150 guests.
