According to him, orders have been given to pay Rs. 50,000 to hospital patients receiving treatment and Rs. 10 lakh to the families of the 34 deceased.

In this regard, he said, four people have been arrested and others who supplied the methanol needed to make the illicit booze would also face consequences.

According to the Chief Minister, police have been requested to look into the methanol's source. He claims that the District Collector has been moved and that the implicated police officers have been disciplined.
