In the most recent ICC T20 rankings, Marcus Stoinis of Australia dethroned Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan as the top all-round player on Wednesday. In the current T20 World Cup, Stoinis took six wickets and contributed greatly with the bat to assist Australia easily reach the Super Eights. Nabi fell three spots, as Bangladeshi veteran Shakib Al Hasan and Sri Lankan captain Wanindu Hasaranga moved up to the second and third spots, respectively, while Stoinis moved up to become the best all-rounder.
The rankings show that the bowlers from the West Indies have performed the best thus far in the competition.
After moving up six spots to take second position in the bowlers' ranking, left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein is now behind England's Adil Rashid.
Teammate Gudakesh Motie has jumped 16 ranks to 13th place in the standings, while Alzarri Joseph has also gone up six spots to 11th.
In the shortest format, India's Suryakumar Yadav remained the top-ranked batter, with Phil Salt, Babar Azam, and Mohammad Rizwan holding steady positions in second, third, and fourth place, respectively.
Travis Head, the opening batsman for Australia, has moved up five spots to fifth, while Nicholas Pooran, the West Indies wicketkeeper, has advanced eight spots to eleventh.
Sherfane Rutherford of the West Indies jumped 43 spots to claim 42nd place.
