The Brian Lara Cricket Academy's pitch, which hosted Afghanistan's disastrous lowest-ever T20I total in the tournament's opening semi-final on Wednesday, has drawn a lot of attention. Even in the Caribbean phase of the event, some of the tracks were difficult to score off, and the pitches in the US leg of the contests came under heavy criticism for being ill-prepared. Apart from seam movement, though, the unpredictable bounce in the new ground used for the semifinal made it even more difficult for the batsmen on both sides.
