Skyscanner, the global travel marketplace, has released intriguing findings from its research, shedding light on budget-conscious travelers in India who are eagerly anticipating summer holidays and are on the lookout for great value deals on flight tickets. The company has introduced a new 'money-saving tool' called Savings Generator to assist Indian travelers in maximizing savings on their summer adventures.
The introduction of this new tool comes in response to recent travel trends, aiming to provide guidance to travelers on saving money on flights and obtaining the best value for their budget. According to research conducted by Skyscanner in collaboration with OnePoll, over 78 percent of Indian travelers are planning to travel this summer, with 39 percent yet to book their tickets. While 51 percent are undecided on dates, 50 percent are uncertain about their destination, which is a significant factor contributing to travelers' hesitancy in making bookings.
Furthermore, the research indicates that 47 percent of travelers actively seek out the best deals, 20 percent wait for last-minute steals, and 59 percent participate in 'loud budgeting'—a TikTok trend encouraging individuals to openly discuss their financial priorities.
As per Skyscanner, the Savings Generator will display to travelers the average monthly prices and the optimal booking times for some of the most sought-after destinations. Additionally, it will recommend more affordable destinations.
Skyscanner has also unveiled the most budget-friendly week to travel to some of the most popular destinations this summer, ensuring that travelers secure the best possible deals:
- Abu Dhabi, UAE, is most economical during the week of 13 July, with an average monthly price of INR 22,878.
