Shaan on 2024 Olympics: "I'm related to it."

With a performance at the first India House in Paris, Shaan will be providing the Indian contingent with a soulful start to the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024. "It is a great honor and privilege for me to be present at India House's opening ceremony, where I will perform for the entire Indian contingent and inspire all Indians in Paris to support the Indian athletes," he remarks.

Nita Ambani's Reliance Foundation is the one behind the concept of India House at the Paris Olympics, and Shaan considers himself lucky to have had the opportunity to play a 90-minute set with his band during the opening. Regarding his upcoming performance, the vocalist says, "I recorded a song for Chandu Champion, but it wasn't featured in the movie. I will be dedicating it to the Indian delegates when I perform it for the first time. It was written by Kausar Munir and Pritam da, and it's a perfect song for the situation. We're going to perform a medley of patriotic and sports-related songs. In addition, I'll be putting a lot of my high-energy

Shaan discloses that he has a unique bond with athletics, particularly with the Olympics. This time, my first cousins Rahul and Dola Banerjee, who have competed at the highest level for India in archery, will also be present as trainers. I therefore have a family connection to the Olympics," he says, noting that there are many similarities between sports and music. Many of the sports friends I meet tell me that music is a major factor in helping them de-stress and get in the zone. Sports and music are therefore complementary, with the former serving as a major source of inspiration and motivation. I'm one of the fittest singers around, and I really believe in fitness.

The musician says he is thrilled to be going to the Olympics this time around even though he has never had the chance to watch them in person. "I will also be able to watch some of the Olympic games live for the first time. The Indian contingent should have a significant year this year. This time, we're going to create some very memorable moments and increase our medal total beyond anything we've ever seen," he says.
